Cinderella is a classic tale about a young girl who must work hard to get her father's blessing so she can marry the prince. Cinderella's father is very strict about what his daughter should wear to impress him, and begins to lose patience when he realizes that his daughter is wearing rags instead of the fancy dresses that are fashionable in the land. After his temper has cooled, he tells this story to his daughter, who promises she will do anything if her father will only give her the chance to marry the prince. The story was one of the first written, and it has since been adapted countless times -- including in multiple Disney movies. The original story came out in 1892, but it was later re-written by writer James Beadle in 1897 (originally titled "The Story of Cinderella").
